Winter Solstice is here!
Dec 17, 2024This year's Winter Solstice is happening on December 21st.
The winter solstice marks the longest night of the year and can be a great moment to renew ourselves and set intentions for the year to come, while welcoming the return of the light.
Sometimes we think it’s our light that gives us power. When actually… It’s your ability to see in the dark. This is the time to ignite that light, deepen your spiritual practice and center yourself.
Being aware of and celebrating the Solstices and Equinoxes are beautiful ways to become more aligned and attuned to our personal cyclical patterns of rebirth, life and death. We all go through cycles of growth, expansion, letting go and releasing, to be reborn again. It's the law of nature. And since you are nature, even if you forgot, this also applies to you.
This is a time for letting go, surrender, rejuvenation, and preparation for winter. First you cleanse and throw out all that is not supporting your growth. Then you find tools to create a foundation to move into this season with grace, becoming intentional on how you want to spend this precious more inward and restful time.
Letting go is essential to receive again, we need to surrender to this process and the winter season is a wonderful time to do that consciously.
This is the time to look back, to celebrate your sucess and reflect on your challenges the past year. And also look ahead and see how you want to spend this precious time.
I found that darkness is necessary for creation. As fetuses, we are created in the dark water of our mother’s womb. Artists are often writing the most delicate poems and crafting the most beautiful pieces when going through dark times. For my own creativity I’ve noticed that I need stillness to open my creative and intuituve channel, only from here can I truly drop in and listen.
How can we nourish our inner light when the outer light is less strong?
How can we harness the power of stillness?
For me, the answer is always to PRACTICE. To move energy through breathing, moving, meditating.
Kundalini Yoga is the most potent tool I found for this. It clears our energy, moves prana in our chakra system and uplifts us from any heaviness or feeling of giving up or checking out.
Solstices are great times to practice, as energy is peaking. Lets use this energy to move energy within you: meaning stuck emotions, thought patterns that come back over and over again, whatever is no longer serving you.
Join me on December 21st for a FREE two hour long special Winter Solstice practice, you can sign up HERE.
